Sundargarh, Dec 26: Tension gripped Tangarapali area in Sundargarh district after miscreants torched newly procured passenger bus.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the depot where two brand‑new buses had been parked, awaiting their official launch on local routes within the next two days.
Sources said, unidentified individuals broke into the parking facility and deliberately ignited one of the buses. Within minutes, flames engulfed the vehicle, reducing it to ashes before fire services could arrive.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the depot was largely unoccupied at the time.
