Bhubaneswar, Mar 19: The evaluation process of matriculation examination answer sheets will commence from today across Odisha, marking the start of a crucial phase in the academic calendar.

The Board of Secondary Education has laid down strict guidelines to ensure the process is conducted smoothly, fairly, and transparently.

With the evaluation scheduled to continue until April 2, authorities have emphasised adherence to rules, enhanced security measures, and proper facilities at all centres to safeguard the integrity of the examination system.

The evaluation phase will continue until April 2, with the process beginning each day at 10 a.m.

According to the notification, all evaluation centres have been instructed to maintain proper facilities such as adequate lighting, fans, and drinking water for teachers engaged in the process. Strong rooms, where answer sheets are stored, will be equipped with fire extinguishers to ensure safety. The Board has emphasized that no evaluator or staff member will be allowed to carry mobile phones inside the evaluation rooms. Any violation of this rule will invite disciplinary action.

To strengthen monitoring, CCTV cameras have been installed at evaluation centres, and comprehensive security arrangements have been made. Around 15,000 teachers across the state will participate in the evaluation exercise, ensuring timely completion of the process.

The Board has reiterated its commitment to maintaining fairness and accuracy in the evaluation. With strict adherence to rules and enhanced security measures, authorities aim to prevent malpractice and safeguard the integrity of the examination system.
