Bhubaneswar, Mar 13: The body of a man was found along the Kuakhai riverbank near the Bali Jatra ground in Bhubaneswar this morning.

According to preliminary reports, the matter came to fore after locals spotted the body lying near the riverbed early in the morning and immediately alerted the police.

The deceased, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was found under circumstances that suggest possible homicide. Authorities suspect that the individual may have been killed elsewhere and later dumped near the river to conceal evidence.

Police teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area for investigation. Forensic experts have been called in to examine the body and collect vital clues.

Senior officials stated that all angles, including personal enmity and criminal involvement, are being explored.

The incident has created panic among residents, especially since the Bali Jatra ground is a popular public space. Locals have demanded swift action and increased security measures in the area.
