Ganjam, Feb 28: A man sustained critical injuries after being brutally attacked with a knife due to past enmity. The violent incident has took place in Kankorda village under Patapur police station limits in Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam district.

The victim, identified as Tulu Pradhan, was allegedly assaulted by fellow villager Bulu Parida.

Reports suggest that the attack was a fallout of longstanding rivalry.

Tulu sustained severe injuries after being stabbed multiple times and was found in a pool of blood.

Family members rushed him to the nearby Adapada Community Health Centre, where he received preliminary treatment. However, due to his critical condition, doctors referred him to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for advanced treatment.

Following the incident, Tulu’s wife Manasa Pradhan lodged a formal complaint at Patapur police station. Acting swiftly, police arrested the accused, Bulu Parida, and initiated further investigation into the matter.

The shocking incident has sparked tension in the locality, with villagers demanding strict action against the perpetrator.

Authorities have assured that justice will be delivered and measures will be taken to prevent recurrence of such violent acts in the area.
