Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: A low-pressure area has formed area over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east equatorial Indian Ocean, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

 

The weather official has said that the system, developed at around 5:30 pm on January 5, is expected to become more pronounced within the next 24 hours.

 

Weather experts have indicated that the system could gradually intensify, potentially influencing sea conditions and coastal weather patterns. Fishermen and coastal residents have been advised to remain alert and follow updates from official agencies.

 

While the IMD has not yet issued a cyclone warning, authorities are closely monitoring the development.
