Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has strongly reacted to reports of Andhra Pradesh’s alleged intrusion into Kotia, reiterating that the region is an inseparable part of Odisha.
Speaking to the media, Pujari said Andhra Pradesh has long attempted to influence residents of Kotia by crossing administrative boundaries. He assured that Odisha is committed to safeguarding the interests of its people and has directed officials from all departments to provide necessary support.
“We are helping the people like a mother,” he remarked, adding that a full-time officer has been appointed to oversee Kotia’s development and a roadmap is being prepared.
The minister emphasized that independent projects focusing on tourism, education, and health are being implemented in the area. He warned that any illegal intrusion would invite strict legal action. “Kotia is an inseparable part of Odisha. No one can separate it,” Pujari asserted.
