Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: Odisha witnessed a slight increase in night temperatures compared to the previous day, with several districts recording moderate warmth during the early hours.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) latest update, the cold wave conditions are expected to ease over the next three days, with night temperatures likely to rise gradually.

Jharsuguda recorded the lowest night temperature at 10.1°C, followed by Rourkela at 11.5°C, Keonjhar at 12.6°C, Sambalpur at 13.8°C, Bhubaneswar at 14.1°C, Hirakud at 14.8°C, Gopalpur at 15.4°C, Paradip at 16.6°C, Balasore at 17.0°C, Chandbali at 17.2°C, and Puri registering the highest among them at 18.0°C.

Meteorologists have forecast a gradual rise in nighttime temperatures across the state, signaling a temporary retreat of winter chill.

The IMD also indicated the possibility of a low-pressure area forming over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22, which could influence regional weather patterns.
