Boudh, Oct 9: In a major crackdown on illegal narcotics trafficking, the Boudh Excise Mobile Squad Thursday seized a large quantity of ganja from two separate locations.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a team under the direction of the Boudh Excise Superintendent, conducted a raid near the Gobajor Tel River bank in Similipadar Panchayat under Manamunda Police Station limits.
The team intercepted a Hyundai i20 car (OD 02 BH 0266) and conducted a search. During the search, the team seized 21 kg of ganja.
However, the accused managed to flee the scene and is currently absconding.

✨In a second operation, the mobile squad raided Gobajor Bridge Chhak following reports of another smuggling attempt.
During the raid, 20 kg of ganja was recovered from a Maruti Suzuki Brezza car. The accused involved in the case also escaped from the spot.
Two separate cases under sections 140 and 141/25 have been registered and further investigation is underway.
