Puri, Oct 15: In a shocking late-night incident, a youth, identified as Joy Chakraborty, was allegedly abducted from a moving car near the Banakhandi HP petrol pump on Konark-Gop road.

The incident took place when the victim along with his friends was returning to Bhubaneswar in a car after a visit to Konark.

According to reports, Joy and his friend were exiting the petrol pump after filling his car. As they rejoined the main road, another car reportedly intercepted their vehicle. When asked, a group of individuals emerged, forcibly pulled Joy from his car, and forcibly took him into their own vehicle and fled the scene.

Upon receiving the alert, Konark Police and the Additional SP of Puri district reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident. A search operation has been launched across multiple locations to trace the abductors.

While the motive behind the kidnapping remains unclear, authorities are currently scouring the area for clues.
