Argus News - Fire At Scrap Store Destroys Goods Worth Over Lakhs In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: A massive fire broke out at a scrap store in the Shishupalgarh area of Bhubaneswar late last night.

According to reports, the blaze engulfed the premises rapidly, prompting an emergency response from local authorities.

Two firefighting teams rushed to the scene and the flames were brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

However, scraps worth over a lakh of rupees were destroyed in the mishap.

Eyewitnesses said thick plumes of smoke were visible from a distance, and panic briefly gripped nearby residents.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, officials suspect an electrical short circuit might have caused the mishap.
