Paradeep, Nov 5: The family members of Adarsh Behera, an Odia youth reportedly kidnapped in Sudan, met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during his visit to Paradeep.
The Chief Minister assured the distressed family that he would take all necessary steps to ensure Adarsh’s safe and prompt return.
Efforts are currently underway at both the state and central government levels to coordinate with international agencies and secure the youth’s release.

The incident has sparked concern across Odisha, with many expressing solidarity with the family and urging swift diplomatic intervention.
Adarsh Behera’s parents expressed hope and gratitude following the meeting, stating that they trust the government’s commitment to resolving the crisis.
According to reports, Adarsh was reportedly kidnapped from Al Fashir, about 1,000 kilometres from the capital city, Khartoum. He was kidnapped by the RSF from Al Fashir and likely taken to Nyala, which is also an RSF stronghold in South Darfur.
