Deogarh, Oct 8: In a tragic incident, a tusker was found dead under Deogarh Forest Division of Odisha. The carcass was discovered near Kaunsitaila village under the Riamal forest range.
According to preliminary reports, the elephant died after it accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire.
The matter came to fore after some locals spotted the carcass and alerted the forest officials about the same.
On being informed, police along with the forest department officials reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
