Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday has launched searches at nine locations in connection with the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination scam.
The searches are being conducted at the residence of Munna Mohanty, an alleged middleman who was arrested in the case and is currently in jail, in Kalapathar. Premises linked to Shankar Prusty of Panch Soft and Suresh Nayak of Silicon Tech are also being searched.
The ED action comes amid the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the case and has filed chargesheets against several people. The ED searches follow revelations of financial transactions worth crores of rupees in connection with the case.
