Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous searches at eight locations linked to Prasanna Kumar Patra, Deputy Director of Soil Conservation-cum-Project Director, Watershed, Sundaragada, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted in Bhubaneswar, Sundaragada and Kataka by teams led by an additional superintendent of police, four deputy superintendents of police, 13 inspectors, five assistant sub-inspectors and other supporting staff. The searches are being carried out under warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundaragada.
Gold, Cash Seized From Bhubaneswar Flat
During the search, Vigilance officials seized 212 grams of gold and Rs 2.5 lakh in cash from a flat at Shrabani Residency in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, according to the information provided.
