Key Points

Four major immersion committees—Saheed Nagar, Rajdhani Mandir Suraksha, Nayapalli, and Chandrasekharpur—along with Old Town Visarjan Committee, will conduct processions across four designated routes in the city.

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack, Oct 3: As the festive season draws to a close, the twin city is all set to bid farewell to Goddess Durga with elaborate arrangements for the Visarjan (immersion) ceremony.

Four major immersion committees—Saheed Nagar, Rajdhani Mandir Suraksha, Nayapalli, and Chandrasekharpur—along with Old Town Visarjan Committee, will conduct processions across four designated routes in the city.

To ensure smooth proceedings, traffic restrictions will be in place from 2 PM to 1 AM at specific locations. Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with the temporary diversions.

Meanwhile, Cuttack is introducing drone surveillance for the first time during Durga Visarjan.

Commissionerate Police will monitor the immersion routes using over 500 CCTV cameras, with visuals tracked through multiple control rooms.
