Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: A severe cold wave accompanied by dense fog conditions continued to affect across several parts of Odisha, disrupting daily life and transport services.
In Bhubaneswar, residents woke up to a thick layer of fog amid intensifying cold conditions. Vehicular movement on the national highway slowed significantly due to reduced visibility as the fog blanketed the city.
According to reports, visibility at the airport area was recorded below 50 meters around 6:30 AM, raising concerns for air traffic and commuters.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast that the
foggy conditions are likely to continue for the next two days, with early
mornings expected to remain particularly hazardous. Authorities have advised
travellers to exercise caution, especially during peak morning hours when the
fog is at its thickest.
