Kandhamal, Dec 10: Kandhamal district in Odisha is experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures dipping consistently below 10 degrees Celsius over the past week.

 

Among the district’s towns, Udayagiri recorded the lowest temperature at 4.4°C, making it the coldest spot in the region.


Other areas also reported sharp drops in mercury, with Phulbani registering 8°C and Daringibadi at 6°C. The persistent chill has highlighted Kandhamal’s reputation as one of Odisha’s coldest districts during winter.
