Keonjhar, Dec 7: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Keonjhar district today to lay the foundation stone for the Maa Tarini temple heritage corridor project, a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing the temple precincts and surrounding infrastructure.

The Chief Minister will arrive at the temporary helipad set up at Ghatagaon Primary School grounds at 9:30 a.m. He will then proceed in a roadshow to the revered Maa Tarini temple, where he will offer prayers. Following the temple visit, Majhi will participate in the ongoing Navakundiya Gayatri Yajna at the temple premises, offering Purnahuti as part of the rituals.

Later, the Chief Minister will join a public meeting at the Ghatagaon Mini Stadium, where he will formally lay the foundation stone for the Maa Tarini Temple Corridor Project. The ambitious project, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 300 crore, is expected to transform the temple surroundings, improve facilities for devotees, and boost tourism in the region.

After completing the day’s engagements, the Chief Minister will depart for Bhubaneswar at 2:25 p.m.
