Kendrapara, Mar 7: Vigilance sleuths launched a major crackdown, raiding multiple properties linked to Pramod Ray, Assistant Executive Engineer of Derabis Irrigation Sub‑Division under Kendrapara Irrigation Division. The raids were conducted following allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.

According to officials, simultaneous searches were carried out at seven locations, including Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, and Bhubaneswar.

A two‑storey house at Vaishnav Vihar in Choudwar, Cuttack, was among the prime properties searched.

The large‑scale operation involved two Additional Superintendents of Police, nine Deputy Superintendents of Police, nine Inspectors, and four Assistant Sub‑Inspectors.

Vigilance sources indicated that documents, valuables, and other materials are being scrutinized to assess the extent of assets allegedly amassed beyond known sources of income.

Authorities have stated that further details will be shared once the evaluation of seized materials is complete.
