Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: A man, who sustained critical injuries in a blast in a moving scooter, near Acharya Vihar overbridge under Sahid Nagar police limits, succumbed to injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Parshuram Lenka of Tarinibasti, Tankapani Road. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday when Parshuram and his minor daughter Sneharani were transporting firecrackers on the two-wheeler when the explosives accidentally ignited. The blast severely burned nearly one-third of Parshuram’s body. He was initially admitted to Capital Hospital but was later shifted to a private hospital due to the critical condition.

✨Despite medical efforts, he passed away during treatment.
On the other hand, his daughter, Sneharani, who also suffered injuries in the incident, is currently undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion, which has raised serious concerns about vehicle safety and public security in the area.
