Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The capital city of Odisha has experienced a sharp dip in temperatures over the past three days, marking the return of winter across the State.
According to reports, Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 15.8°C on December 4, compared to 16.4°C on December 3 and 20°C on December 2, reflecting a notable fall of 4.2°C.
The chill has not been confined to the capital alone. Several districts across Odisha reported lower minimum temperatures today, signaling the onset of winter conditions statewide.

✨Jharsuguda recorded 10.9°C, Rourkela 12°C, Keonjhar 12.8°C, Sambalpur 14.4°C, Balasore 15.3°C, Chandbali 16.6°C, and Puri 18.9°C.
Weather experts attribute the drop to the seasonal
northwesterly winds and clear skies, which have intensified the cold wave in
many parts of the State. Residents have begun to feel the winter chill, with
early mornings and evenings turning noticeably colder.
