Bhubaneswar, Apr 18: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived in Bhubaneswar on a brief visit to Odisha, where he is scheduled to offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple in Puri before returning to Assam.
His visit comes just ahead of the announcement of election results, adding significance to his spiritual journey.
After landing at Bhubaneswar airport, Sarma headed straight to Puri to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Following his darshan at the temple, Sarma will return to Bhubaneswar and then fly back to Assam by a special aircraft.
Speaking to reporters upon arrival, the Assam Chief Minister praised Odisha’s leadership, stating that the Chief Minister of Odisha has been working diligently and fulfilling promises made to the people.
