Anti-Drone, Bomb Disposal Teams On Alert Ahead Of President’s Arrival
President Murmu will arrive by Air Force helicopter on February 3

Puri, Jan 31: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha on February 3. Ahead of the visit, the Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements.


According to reports, the President will arrive by a special Air Force helicopter at the helipad and proceed directly to Lok Bhavan, where she will stay overnight.


On February 4, the President will visit the sacred Shwetaganga Pushkarini to perform pind daan rituals for her ancestors, followed by a visit to the Jagannath Temple to seek blessings of Lord Jagannath.


In view of the President’s visit, elaborate security measures have been put in place across Puri.


From the helipad to Lok Bhavan, Shwetaganga Pushkarini, the temple premises, and the entire city, strict security cordons will be maintained. According to Puri SP, all arrangements have been made as per the Blue Book security protocol.


A total of 30 platoons of police force will be deployed, along with six commandant-rank officers. Special units including an anti-drone squad, anti-sabotage team, and bomb disposal squad will be on duty.

Night checkpoints have been intensified, and hotels and lodgings near the temple have been thoroughly inspected. GRP, RPF, and dog squads have also conducted checks at the railway station.


On February 4, traffic restrictions will be enforced along the President’s route, which has been divided into multiple security zones.
