Kota, Oct 26: A 24-year-old medical aspirant from Odisha's Ganjam district was found dead at his hostel room in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Kota, Rajasthan.

The deceased has been identified as Rosan Patra of Abhaypur village under Patrapur block in Ganjam district.

According to reports, Rosan had been preparing for the NEET UG medical entrance examination in Kota. The incident occurred after he returned from coaching classes on Saturday.

He reportedly collapsed while going for dinner and was brought dead on arrival to the hospital.

Initial suspicions suggest a possible cardiac arrest, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after a post-mortem examination.

The news of Rosan’s untimely death has cast a pall of grief over his native village, Abhaypur, where residents are mourning the loss of a bright young student.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
