Cuttack, Oct 29: Around 15 students of Ravenshaw University were taken ill and are reportedly undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

According to reports, the students complained of food poisoning, including vomiting and diarrhoea shortly after dinner.

Following this, the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Currently, the health condition of all the students are stable, according to a senior doctor of the hospital.

Preliminary reports suggests a possible case of food poisoning, however, laboratory analysis of collected samples is underway to confirm the exact cause.

The results of these tests will provide clarity on the source and nature of the illness, enabling appropriate follow-up actions.

University authorities have launched an internal inquiry into the incident and are reviewing food safety protocols at the hostel. The hostel mess has been temporarily closed, and alternative arrangements are being made for other residents.
