Jagatsinghpur, Dec 20: Odisha Vigilance officials today carried simultaneous
raids at the property of Rahama Forest Range officer Rajendra Samantray in
connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The raids were conducted at four different locations, including the residence of the officer at Chatara.
Following credible information, the anti-corruption wing led by two Addl SPs, 5 DSPs, 8
Inspectors, and other supporting officers conducted raids at the following
places:
- Residential triple storeyed building located at Chatara, Jagatsinghpur.
- Double storeyed building at native village, Samantarayapur, PO-Dondo, Dist-Jagatsinghpur.
- Office located at Forest Range,Sampur,Jagatsinghpur under Cuttack Forest Division.
- Govt.quarter located in the campus of Jagatsinghpur Forest Range.
Officials said the searches are aimed at uncovering evidence
related to disproportionate assets and irregularities. The operation is part of
the state’s intensified drive against corruption among government officials.

Teams are examining property documents, bank records, and financial transactions to determine the scale of alleged irregularities.

According to reports, vigilance sleuths are verifying land holdings, residential houses, and movable assets linked to Samantaray.
Searches are also being conducted at his native place and rented accommodations, to ensure no hidden assets are overlooked.
The operation is part of Odisha Vigilance’s statewide intensified campaign against corruption among government officials.
In recent months, vigilance has unearthed large caches of
cash, gold, and land holdings from other forest and revenue officers in similar
disproportionate assets cases.
