Key Points

Muskan was arrested earlier this year after police accused her of killing Saurabh and concealing his body in a blue drum.
Meerut, Nov 26: Muskan, who is currently lodged in Meerut jail for the alleged murder of her husband Saurabh Rajput, has given birth to a baby girl and the child has been named Radha.

The child was born at the Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College on November 24.

Muskan was arrested earlier this year after police accused her of killing Saurabh and concealing his body in a blue drum, an incident that drew widespread attention for its brutality.

Following the birth of the child, Saurabh’s family has demanded a DNA test to establish paternity.

The in-laws have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy and have formally requested authorities to conduct the test before recognizing the child as part of the family.

Rahul, Saurabh's brother, said he had earlier sought a DNA test and would now move a fresh plea in the court seeking the same.

He alleged that Muskan, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, murdered Saurabh and hid his body in a blue drum filled with cement.

Rahul also demanded a DNA test on Muskan's elder daughter, saying the Rajput family would take responsibility for both the siblings only it is proven that they were biologically Saurabh's children. Otherwise, he said, they would keep "no relation" with Muskan or the newborn.

The development has added another layer of complexity to the ongoing case, which is already under close legal scrutiny. Jail authorities confirmed the safe delivery of the child and stated that further decisions regarding custody and welfare will be taken in accordance with court directives.

The matter is expected to be addressed in upcoming hearings, with both families awaiting clarity on the future of the newborn.
