Lucknow, Dec 4: A tragic accident on the Delhi–Lucknow National Highway claimed the lives of four medical students after their speeding car crashed into a parked DCM truck in Amroha district.

 

All four deceased were identified as MBBS students of Venkateshwar University. Officials are working to notify their families and complete post‑mortem examinations.

 

According to reports, the accident which occurred late on Wednesday night was so intense that the car was completely mangled, leaving no chance of survival for the occupants.

Following the incident, police reached the site immediately and sent the bodies for post-mortem.

 

A police team from Rajabpur police station inspected the scene, and efforts are underway to establish the exact cause of the crash.


Preliminary findings suggest overspeeding may have been a factor, while the role of the parked truck is also under scrutiny.

In another tragic incident on the same night, two young men were killed in a collision between a truck and a motorcycle on Gajraula National Highway 9 in Amroha at around 8:45 p.m., officials said.
