Maoist Attack / CRPF Jawan Killed In IED Blast In Jharkhand’s Saranda Forest

Rourkela, Oct 11: A CRPF jawan has tragically lost his life following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast triggered by Maoists in the dense Saranda forest region of Jharkhand.
According to a police official, the incident took place on Friday when the security personnel were on anti-Naxal operations. While marching on foot, the jawans inadvertently stepped on a pressure-activated IED planted by Maoists. As a result, three officials sustained injuries.
While a jawan succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, health condition of two others are reported to be stable and out of danger.

Security forces have intensified combing operations in the forest to track down the perpetrators and prevent further attacks.
