Hyderabad, Oct 11: In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, three senior Maoist leaders surrendered before the Telangana Police.

The surrendered individuals have been identified as Kukati Venkata alias Vikash, Mogilicharla Raju alias CNM Chandu, and Gangwa alias Soni. All three were long-serving members of the Maoist State Committee and held key responsibilities within the organisation.

According to police sources, these leaders were actively involved in Maoist operations across Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh, and had been instrumental in planning and executing violent campaigns in the region.

Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy stated that the state government is committed to offering opportunities for Maoist cadres to renounce violence and reintegrate into mainstream society. Those who surrender will be provided full support under the government’s rehabilitation policy, including financial aid, housing, and vocational training.

The surrender marks a strategic win for the police and a hopeful step toward reducing insurgency in the region. Authorities continue to encourage more Maoist members to follow suit and embrace peaceful living.
