Raghav Juyal Recalls How Geeta Kapur Helped Him Say Yes to 'Kill'

Key Points

Raghav Juyal fondly recalled his early dance reality show days and credited Geeta Kapur for mentoring him throughout his journey. He revealed that Geeta was the first person he approached after auditioning for Kill and sought her advice before accepting the negative role.
Mumbai, August 7: Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal looked back on his early days in the entertainment industry, crediting choreographer Geeta Kapur for being a guiding influence throughout his journey.

Recalling the time he spent rehearsing at her studio, Raghav revealed that Geeta also played a key role in his decision to take on the negative character in the action thriller Kill.

Appearing as a special guest alongside actress Niki Walia on the dance reality show, "India's Best Dancer Season 5", Raghav said, "Aur kuch baat bhi hai Geeta maa ki, woh meri guru hai, coach hai. Main pada inke studio mein hi rehta tha mere dance show ke time. Sab log, saare team members udhar hi rehte the. Bahut maza aata tha, bahut khula atmosphere tha."

(There's so much more I can say about Geeta Maa. She is my guru and my coach. During my dance reality show days, I practically lived at her studio. All the team members stayed there too. We had so much fun, and the atmosphere was always open and welcoming)

The conversation then shifted to his acting career as Raghav recalled approaching Geeta after auditioning for "Kill."

"I remember ki meri 'Kill' film aayi thi aur main sabse pehle Geeta maa ke paas gaya tha apna audition leke. Aapko yaad hai aapke ghar aaya tha main bolne, maine audition diya tha 'Kill' film ka," he shared.

(I remember when I auditioned for 'Kill', the first person I went to was Geeta Maa with my audition. Do you remember? I had come to your house to tell you that I had auditioned for 'Kill')

Geeta fondly remembered Raghav seeking her advice before accepting the antagonist's role. Recalling the conversation, she said, "Negative role hai ma'am, main karu kya?" (It's a negative role, ma'am. Should I do it?)

Raghav added, "Toh maine kaha main karunga. Mujhe yaad hai meri woh journey start hui udhar se." (Then I decided to do it. I remember that my acting journey started from there.)

Expressing how much she misses watching him perform, Geeta added, "Bahut achhi baat hai, lekin hamare aankhon ko sukoon nahi milta hai na aise dekhne ke liye. Even if you do this much dancing na, aisa lagta hai ki aur chahiye. Ye ab acting mein bhi aa gaya hai. Now we miss you on screen. Aisa lagta hai Raghav, I want to see you more."

(It's wonderful that you've grown as an actor, but our eyes don't feel satisfied because we don't get to watch you dance enough. Even if you dance a little, it always feels like we want more. The same feeling now applies to your acting too. We miss seeing you on screen. It always feels like, Raghav, I want to see more of you.)
