Bollywood / Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit is Darker, Fiercer in Awarapan 2 Trailer

Mumbai, Aug 6: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is set to reprise his iconic role of Shivam Pandit in Awarapan 2, the sequel to the cult-classic Awarapan. The much-anticipated trailer, unveiled on Thursday, rekindles the emotional intensity of a character that has endured for nearly two decades.

This time, Shivam carries deeper scars, more rage, and an unstoppable purpose. The trailer presents a world steeped in vengeance and redemption, with a tone darker than typical Bollywood fare. It captures the aged protagonist’s journey, weighed down by unresolved conflicts from the first film, and highlights Hashmi’s powerful performance.

The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, and Atul Kumar. Disha Patani introduces a fresh emotional layer as Zara, while Shabana Azmi commands the screen as Nafisa. The action sequences are visceral, the emotions raw, and the music perfectly aligned with the franchise’s identity.

The soundtrack of Awarapan 2 is crafted by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev, and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva, and Sachin Singh Chandel. At its heart lies the haunting track Tera Mera Rishta, composed by Mithoon and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, which runs through the trailer.

Presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, produced by Vishesh Bhatt, and directed by Nitin Kakkar with a screenplay by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026, with Pen Marudhar handling all-India distribution.
