All Time Hindi Box Office Hits / From Dhurandhar 2 to Pushpa 2, Jawan: India’s Biggest Hindi Box Office Hits Revealed

Key Points
- Dhurandhar 2 becomes the first Hindi film to cross ₹1100 crore worldwide.
- Sequels and franchise films dominate India’s all-time Hindi box office rankings.
- South-origin pan-India films continue to reshape Bollywood economics and audience trends.
Bhubaneswar: Hindi cinema’s box office landscape has undergone a dramatic transformation, and the latest all-time collection chart reveals how franchise films, pan-India storytelling and high-voltage spectacle are now dominating audience choices like never before.
At the top
of the list stands Dhurandhar 2 (2026) with a staggering ₹1185.35 crore
collection, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film ever. The film has not
only crossed the ₹1000 crore milestone but has also widened the gap between
mega-event cinema and conventional Bollywood releases. Its predecessor Dhurandhar
(2025) occupies the second position with ₹894.49 crore, underlining how strong
franchises are now driving theatrical success.
South Stories Dominating Hindi
The rankings
also show the rising influence of South Indian cinema in the Hindi belt. Pushpa
2 (Hindi) has collected ₹836.09 crore, while films like Baahubali 2,
KGF Chapter 2, RRR, Kalki 2898 AD and Kantara: Chapter
1 have firmly cemented the dominance of dubbed pan-India content in the
Hindi market. What was once considered a regional crossover trend has now
become mainstream Bollywood economics.
Sequel Screen Magic
Another striking trend is the growing obsession with sequels and cinematic universes. Out of the top 50 highest-grossing Hindi films, a significant majority are sequels or franchise-based titles — including Stree 2, Border 2, War 2, Tiger 3, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Gadar 2 and Singham Again. The data suggests audiences are increasingly favouring familiar brands over standalone experimental films.

✨The chart
also reflects how the post-pandemic audience has shifted decisively toward
large-scale theatrical experiences. Action spectacles such as Jawan, Pathaan,
Animal and Fighter dominate the rankings, indicating that mass
entertainment and visual grandeur are pulling crowds back to cinemas.
Content Is King
Yet, amid the franchise wave, content-driven films like The Kashmir Files, The Kerala Story, Dangal, 3 Idiots and Drishyam 2 continue to prove that strong storytelling can still deliver blockbuster returns.
Industry
analysts say the numbers point to a new Bollywood era where scale, franchise
recall and pan-India appeal matter more than star power alone. The Hindi box
office is no longer just a Mumbai-driven industry — it has evolved into a truly
national entertainment market.
