Begusarai, Jun 18: A woman in Bihar's Begusarai district alleged that she was gang-raped by five men who entered her house late at night, confined her husband and took her to a secluded location where the assault took place.
According to the survivor, the incident took place on June 11 under the Chakiya police station area. She told police that the accused allegedly entered her home around 11:30pm, locked her husband inside a room and later assaulted her after she came out of the toilet.
The woman alleged that the attackers gagged her, took her outside the house and sexually assaulted her. She further claimed that when she resisted and attempted to raise an alarm, the accused inflicted injuries on her body using a sharp object.
Medical Examination Reveals Serious Injuries
The survivor was initially taken to a local hospital and later referred to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for treatment.
According to her statement, she continued to experience severe abdominal and internal pain even after being discharged. During a subsequent medical examination, doctors reportedly recovered a live bullet, a stone and a piece of wood from her private parts.
The woman said she was unaware of the presence of the objects, claiming she had lost consciousness during the alleged assault.
"I was in a lot of pain. During the medical examination, a bullet, a stone and a piece of wood were removed. I still have pain," she told reporters.
Survivor Recalls Earlier Attack
The woman also alleged that three months earlier, unidentified men had entered her home, assaulted her and attempted to sexually attack her before fleeing with cash and jewellery.
