Cuttack, Nov 4: The millennium city of Odisha, Cuttack is all set to host the Historic Baliyatra Cuttack 2025 here on Wednesday evening on the auspicious occasion of Kartika Purnima, officials said on Tuesday.
Final preparations have been completed, transforming the fairground into a vibrant cultural hub. From the Boat Gate to the cultural stage, decorations and arrangements are nearly complete, promising a spectacular start to the festivities, they added.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to inaugurate
the event at Gadagadia Ghat on the banks of the Mahanadi River. The Ambassador
of Indonesia will grace the occasion as a special guest. All MLAs and MPs from
Cuttack district will also attend the inaugural ceremony.

✨Two dedicated stages have been set up for performances by artists from India and abroad, showcasing traditional art, dance, and music. Traders from across the country have already arrived and are actively preparing their stalls, adding to the festive atmosphere.
In anticipation of large crowds, the Police Commissioner, along with senior officials, has reviewed the fairground. Adequate police force will be deployed, traffic will be streamlined, and crowd control measures will be strictly enforced.
The entire venue will be under CCTV surveillance to ensure safety and smooth operations throughout the event, a senior police official said.
