Koraput, Jun 4: A truck allegedly suffered brake failure and ploughed into more than a dozen vehicles on NH-26 in Koraput town on Thursday, damaging vehicles and roadside property, a source said.
While the accident caused widespread panic and significant damage, no fatalities or serious injuries were reported.
According to the source, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle after its brakes reportedly failed while passing through the town. The speeding truck then rammed into multiple vehicles parked along the roadside before crashing into the boundary walls near branches of Punjab National Bank, HDFC Bank and Central Bank of India.

The impact of the collision damaged more than 12 small and heavy vehicles, causing significant property loss. Eyewitnesses said panic gripped the area as the truck barreled through the crowded stretch of the national highway before coming to a halt.
