Talcher, Feb 5: Three men, who attempted to loot a motorbike, jumped into the Dadaraghati Dam in Dhenkanal, in a bid to evade police arrest.
According to police officials, the three accused after looting a bike were intercepted by police personnel. In a desperate bid to escape, the trio jumped into the Dadaraghati Dam. While the police personnel managed to arrest two of them, the third accused went untracebale after diving deeper into the dam waters.
Following the incident, the fire brigade was called in to assist with search operations.
Rescue teams scoured the dam extensively, but as of late Wednesday evening, no trace of the missing suspect had been found. Authorities confirmed that the search will continue until further clarity is achieved.
