Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: In a major development in the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam, the Vigilance Court has granted bail to 114 aspirants who were arrested in connection with the case.
The scam, which rocked the state’s recruitment process, led to the arrest of 123 accused individuals, including several aspirants and intermediaries. Among them, 114 candidates were directly linked to fraudulent activities during the examination.
The Crime Branch has submitted the case diary (CD) to the Vigilance Court, detailing the investigation and evidence collected so far. Over 40 lawyers were appointed to represent the accused aspirants, each filing separate bail applications.

Following hearings, the court granted bail to 114 candidates, while proceedings for the remaining accused are still under review.
