Puri, Oct 23: A 15-year-old boy, resident of Puri district, was killed after being hit by speeding train at Janakdevpur railway station.
The deceased has been identified as Vishwajeet Sahu, a resident of Mangalagha in Puri.
According to reports, the incident took place on Tuesday when Vishwajeet along with his mother had gone the Dakshinkali temple. On the way back home, he stopped near the railway tracks and started recording a video for social media post.
Vishwajeet was busy recording the video when a train approached towards him, resulting in his death on the spot.
On being informed, Railway Police rushed to the scene and launched a probe into the incident. Later, the body was seized and sent to a local hospital for post-mortem.

In August, a similar incident was reported from Ganjam district, where a 22-year-old YouTuber from Berhampur went missing after being swept away while filming reels at the Duduma waterfall in Koraput, Odisha.
