Argus News - Man Kills Elder Brother After Heated Argument In Odisha's Gajapati

Gajapati, Nov 11: In a deeply disturbing incident, a man was allegedly killed by his younger brother in Rebidhi village under R. Udayagiri police limits in Gajapati district.

The deceased has been identified as Ajayam Dalabehera.

According to reports, a heated argument broke out between Ajayam and his younger brother, Sudip Dalabehera. The situation escalated when Ajayam went to the bathroom, during which Sudip allegedly attacked him with a knife, injuring his critically. 

However, Ajayam was rescued and rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

While the exact cause behind the argument and the subsequent murder remains unclear, police have reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.

The body has been seized and sent to a local hospital for post-mortem. On the other hand, police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused, who is currently absconding.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the accused’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.
