Bhubaneswar, Dec 25: The alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has once again made headlines with a Christmas letter in which he claims to have gifted Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez a lavish residence in Beverly Hills, California — referring to it as their “love nest.”
Currently incarcerated in Delhi’s Mandoli jail for his alleged involvement in a ₹200 crore extortion case, Chandrasekhar penned the letter to Fernandez on Wednesday, describing the property as a special Christmas gift.
In the letter, he wrote, “Baby, on this gracious day, I
present you 'The Love Nest,' your new, our new home in Beverly Hills. Yes, my
love, the same house that I made for you, for us, which you thought would not
be completed. Baby, I am proud to say I completed it for you and am gifting it
to you today on this Christmas day. But baby, it's bigger and better than how
it was previously planned by us; that is, a private, our own '19' hole golf
course around our house.”

In the same letter, Sukesh also claimed that he was working on fulfilling another of Fernandez's “dreams” by attempting to secure ownership of an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket franchise — specifically a stake in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team.

✨“Baby, one more thing, on this Christmas day I want to surprise you one more dream of yours. I am working on it, which is owning an IPL team. I have placed my bids for RCB; god willing, we should be able to get a piece of the action,” he added.
Ongoing Controversies and Legal Troubles
The letter surfaces against the backdrop of ongoing media speculation surrounding the alleged connection between Sukesh Chandrasekhar and actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Chandrasekhar remains at the centre of a high-profile extortion and money laundering case, accused of orchestrating schemes worth hundreds of crores of rupees.
Fernandez has consistently denied any romantic involvement with Chandrasekhar and dismissed claims that she benefitted from his alleged criminal activities. However, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has maintained that her family and friends received advantages through their association with him. Notably, in September 2022, Fernandez’s stylist admitted to receiving ₹3 crore from Chandrasekhar.
The actress has stated that she was unaware of
Chandrasekhar’s criminal background. In February 2024, Fernandez accused him of
harassment and of attempting to tarnish her public image through the media. She
initially announced plans to pursue legal action but later withdrew her plea.
