Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: Odisha is experiencing widespread rainfall as a western disturbance sweeps across the region.

According to the Meteorological Department, several districts are receiving showers since Tuesday evening. The system has also triggered strong winds, with speeds ranging between 30 and 40 km/h in several areas.

In isolated pockets, heavy downpours accompanied by hail have been reported, disrupting normal life and raising concerns among farmers about potential crop damage.

The department has forecast further rainfall over the next 24 hours, particularly in coastal Odisha and adjoining districts.

A yellow warning has been issued for five districts, urging residents to remain cautious of sudden weather changes. Authorities have advised fishermen not to venture into the sea due to rough conditions.
