Nayagarh, Oct 5: A violent clash erupted between two groups in Marada village under Fatehgarh police station in Nayagarh district over Durga Puja preparations, leaving six people critically injured and several others wounded.
According to reports, the incident occurred late Saturday evening when tensions escalated between the groups, reportedly over political differences linked to the festival’s organisation.
The confrontation quickly turned bloody, with both sides engaging in physical violence.
On being informed, Fatehgarh police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, with six individuals reported to be in serious condition.
