Keonjhar, Sep 19: At least two people lost their lives in two separate road accidents in Keonjhar district on Friday.

In the first incident,  the victim was reportedly driving a Bolero when the vehicle crashed into a stationary truck parked along the roadside near Serenda under the jurisdiction of Barbil Police Station.

The impact of the collision was so severe, that the driver succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

In another tragic accident, a motorcyclist died after his bike collided with a stray cow at Darby Chhack under Balani Police Station.

The biker reportedly lost control after hitting the animal, leading to fatal injuries.

Eyewitnesses said the cow had wandered onto the road, a recurring hazard in the area.

Both bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations, and police have registered cases in connection with the incidents.
