Gajapati, Sep 18: At least three teachers have been placed under suspension following a reported clash between two staff groups at Gosani Machhmara Upper Primary School in Odisha’s Gajapati district.

The suspended individuals includes- Headmaster Prafulla Rath, Assistant Teachers B. Rajashekharam and S. Jayarao.

According to reports, a physical and verbal altercation broke out between two factions of teachers within the school premises over some issue.

Taking note of the report, the District Education Officer (DEO) took swift action and an inquiry was launched.

Based on preliminary findings, the three teachers were suspended while further investigation into the incident is underway.

Local sources indicate that the clash may have stemmed from internal disagreements over school administration and responsibilities. The matter is now under review, and disciplinary proceedings are expected to follow.
