Subhadra Yojana / Subhadra Beneficiaries Aged 60 And Above To Get Pension Under MBPY And NSA

Bhubaneswar, Sep 18: In a significant move, the Odisha government has announced that Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries who have attained the age of 60 and above will now be eligible to receive pensions under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) and the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).
The Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has written to the Women and Child Development Department to include former Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries into the MBPY/NSAP pension schemes once they reach the age threshold.
More than 2 lakh Subhadra beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this transition.

✨Upon turning 60, they will become eligible for monthly pension disbursements under either MBPY or NSAP, depending on their individual circumstances.
The Subhadra Yojana is a women-centric welfare scheme launched by the Odisha government, offering Rs 50,000 over five years to eligible women aged 21–60 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The scheme has empowered women across the state by supporting education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.
