Gariaband, Oct 7: Three hardcore Maoists surrendered before the Gariaband police in Chhattisgarh, bringing a significant boost to the state’s ongoing campaign against left-wing extremism.
The surrender took place near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, where the trio—identified as Nagesh, Jani, and Sundari—laid down arms in the presence of the Gariaband Superintendent of Police.
Among them were two women and one male cadre, all of whom had been active in the Naupada-Gariaband border region for several years.

✨According to officials, the surrendered Maoists were involved in multiple violent activities and carried bounties worth lakhs of rupees on their heads.
