Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: Tension gripped Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya here on Thursday after alleged harassment on campus, triggering widespread protests and unrest among the student community.

According to reports, a student lodged a complaint of harassment, which quickly triggered demonstrations by fellow students demanding accountability and immediate action from the authorities.

In response to the escalating situation, a three-member team from the Department of Culture visited the college campus. The delegation was led by Culture Department Secretary Deba Prasad Das, accompanied by two officials.

The presence of senior officials has raised expectations that the issue will be addressed promptly. Meanwhile, students continue to stage demonstrations, pressing for accountability and stronger safeguards against harassment within the institution.
