Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: Crime Branch has launched proceedings to conduct a lie detection test on Shankar Prusty, the alleged mastermind behind the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam.

Shankar Prusty is accused of orchestrating the large-scale irregularities in the SI recruitment process, including question paper leaks and illegal monetary transactions involving aspirants.

The Crime Branch suspects that Shankar’s coordination with tech experts and his strategic planning played a key role in the scam’s execution.

The lie detection test is expected to shed light on deeper layers of the conspiracy and identify other individuals involved.
