Sambalpur, Jan 21: A tragic incident has been reported at Sambalpur University, where a student was found dead inside the Brahmaputra Hostel.


According to reports, the student’s body was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in one of the hostel rooms.


On being informed, authorities rushed to the spot and alerted the police about the incident.


Police immediately reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem. An investigation has also been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.


While the exact cause remains unclear, officials are treating the case with utmost seriousness.


The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further details are awaited. University authorities have assured full cooperation with the police inquiry.
